Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on a few things: how many designs you need, how complex they are, and how you plan to use them.
When we commission a design, you’re not automatically buying the copyright — Season Stories keeps that. What you’re buying is the right to use the work in the ways we agree on together.
-
Yes – we offer a commercial license. We’ll usually look at things like where the design will appear (online, print, packaging, billboards…), where they’ll be seen (which country), and for how long (we grant a minimum of 2 years).
The wider the usage, the higher the fee. If you only need the design for a specific use, we can keep the licence more limited — and the cost lower.
-
If that’s what you need, we can arrange a worldwide, unlimited specific commercial licence covering all media and an unlimited period of use.
Season stories still owns the copyright. You own the rights to use the work in the ways we’ve agreed.
-
Yes it is possible at a negotiated fee.
-
Absolutely. In fact, we quite like those.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come to us. Bring the thought, the screenshot, the scribble, we’ll figure it out together.
-
Yes. That’s part of the fun.
You might come to us thinking you need a new logo and realise you actually need a character, a campaign, or something completely different. We’ll ask the right questions and work it out with you.
-
It depends on the project, and we’ll always make that clear upfront.
We build in enough time to make the tweaks that need making and get things to a place where everyone is happy, without entering the dreaded “one tiny final change” spiral.
-
Absolutely.
You don’t need to hire us for the whole shebang. If you need a character, an illustration, some packaging or a campaign, we’re happy to jump in and make that one thing very good.
-
Tell us anyway.
We’re not particularly interested in putting projects into neat little boxes. If it’s something we can help with, we will. If it’s not, we’ll be honest about it.
-
It depends on the number of projects we are dealing with, but we will always make sure to do our best to align with your deadline.
